The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) which includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The exam consists of a written test followed by a physical efficiency test and interview. The written test includes multiple choice questions on subjects such as General Ability and Intelligence, General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. Candidates who clear the written test are then required to appear for a Physical Efficiency Test and an Interview.
